Imagine Noah’s surprise when that rings true the night before his twenty-first birthday as he finds himself hopelessly protecting a beautiful homeless girl from a magical assassin. Noah didn’t die that night, but his normal life was over. Waking up from the worst birthday ever, Noah finds out his world has quite literally been turned upside-down. He's been ripped from the human world and dropped into one where magic still exists and fairy tale creatures are the norm. Not only that, but there are four other killers on the odd girl's trail. With no way home and a strange darkness growing inside him, Noah has no choice but to follow her, along with a schizophrenic werewolf and his pet Winnebago, as they journey across the magical countryside in an attempt to escape the remaining killers and destroy the mysterious being that sent them. He’ll need to embrace the darkness in order to protect his new friends and the two worlds, but in the process he might become the very thing they are running from and the catalyst that destroys everything.

I actually found out about this book from a youtube channel dedicated to video games and was soo interested in the description given I went straight here and bought it. It was a great read,The only problem I had with this book is I actually lost all track of time while reading. The imagery was powerful and never left me without a complete picture of the surroundings or situation at hand. The character development was impressive and in a short amount of time I found myself relating with all the main character actions. I know the next book is just waiting to be published and for that I only have 6 words " Shut up and take my money." Ps: thank you for the great book. I will add it to my collection with pride.Product details

The Last Memory The Memory Trilogy T T Faulkner 9781477594469 Books Reviews
Bravo T.T. Faulkner! Awesome! Enjoyed this read more than any book in a very long time. I found myself looking forward to the time I could sit down and read a few chapters. Now I am waiting on the second book. I may just have to read this one again! A movie would be wonderful BUT they would have to make it exactly like the book or it would be ruined. The book was so descriptive you could visualize exactly where they were; you were there with them all along the way. So a movie.....yes.....exactly like the book! The book had something for everyone. I expect the next to be just as good. If you like fantasy, fiction, adventure, you will love this book! Come on Faulkner. We need book number 2!
The night before Noah Lane's twenty-first birthday, an encounter with a redheaded stranger and her supernatural stalker propels him into another world and shatters his former reality. Soon he is hopelessly entwined in this new world, both by the friendships he forges and by the fact that he is gradually becoming a part of it -- and perhaps losing his humanity in the process. He sets off on a quest for vengeance and self-preservation with the enigmatic and beautiful redhead and her loyal werewolf protector -- but will they succeed, or will the growing darkness within Noah overtake him and lead to destruction? Author T. T. Faulkner draws from a variety of fairy tales, legends, and fables to create this other world, allowing readers to delight in recognizing the origins of its inhabitants. Well-paced, and with an effective balance of serious and quirky, The Last Memory is highly original and engaging -- a solid bet for fans of The Talisman (Stephen King and Peter Straub), Bill Willingham's Fables series, or Neil Gaiman.
What else could a reader ask for in urban fantasy? As a first-time author, Faulkner lives up to his namesake in spinning such a wonderful tale for readers of all ages to enjoy.
This book is highly imaginative with an incredible plot. Creatures and characters from myth and legend are all around us, hidden just on the other side of a parallel plane of existence. The real monsters lurk in places where the barrier grows thin, waiting to pull unwitting victims away from the realm of men.
Noah Lane is one such man. But, he shows the creatures below that he is no ordinary victim. Trapped in the plane of gods, Noah must battle ancient beings of great power to find his way back to the plane of men. He makes enemies at every turn, but none greater than the Chronographers. These god-like beings prey on the most brilliant minds of our time, devouring their memories--one of the greatest powers in the universe.
Against such overwhelming odds, Noah has little hope of succeeding. Still, Noah defies the gods to keep Lady Luna, the princess of the people of the moon safe, and he finds within himself a strength to rival the power of even the Chronographers. Love.
But is such an unlikely power enough to battle the devastating magic of the Chronographers? Can a mortal defy the will of the gods of our time at their own game and live to share the tale and succeed where so many others have failed? Only time will tell...
I loved this book. It's a perfect summer read and has something for everyone
Romance
Adventure
Surprising plot twists and turns
Fantastic characters and events
Humor
Suspense
It has it all...so I guess that makes it a perfect anytime read! I have a couple of favorite characters but I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
I hope book two is not far behind...and I kept thinking the whole time I was reading this that I can't WAIT to see the movie!!
A fantastic fantasy novel! I found all the characters memorable and distinct (my favorite being Chip). The story had the perfect balance of adventure, fantasy, and romance and was paced very well. It's the type of book you'll find yourself reading at 2am so you can see what happens next. I pretty much read the last half of the book in one sitting and put it down somewhere around 3am. The way Noah and Luna interacted together felt authentic. T.T. Faulkner has a natural ability at writing dialogue that is believable and it shows in Noah and Luna's interactions in the book.
I'm interested to see what T.T. Faulkner adds to his universe in future installments.
Never a dull moment. The characters and plot were well developed and impressive. I got to the end and had to read the second one to see what happened with these amazing characters. Faulkner does a great job catching the attention of the reader and holding it with action packed scenes and characters that are rich and enduring. If you liked The Hunger Games, Percy Jackson and Twilight, The Last Memory Series is for you.
"Wet socks make it harder to run". I was hopelessly hooked by these opening words to T.T. Faulkner's vivid and fantastic story. The story is a romance and an adventure but it is also something deeper that touches upon the essence of being human, loving and being in love. The Last Memory is a fast-paced yet richly detailed trip into another world - or at least a different plane of the same world.
I read this book in two sittings - no small feat for my normally short attention span. Faulkner's style had me traveling with Noah and Luna, not just reading of their adventures. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Mr. Faulkner.
